I chose poverty as a topic because it is a global crisis and I have lived in many places where I have seen poverty and people begging on the streets. Each time I go to India I see at least one person, even children, come up to people, to beg or sell you flowers to earn money every day. I know that there are many poor people around the world who have to live on less than a dollar a day. In fact about 20% of the population lives on a dollar r less a day for all the things they need. Poverty can be caused by lack of jobs or people gambling and losing their money. Many times people will lose their money in unfair trading as well. I hope after I research more about this topic, I will be able to write and know more about poverty.
